MCHG Featured Associate | | Gail O'Neil Best Western Freeport Inn Gail O'Neil just celebrated 20 years as a Night Auditor at the Best Western Freeport Inn. She has had the responsibility of grooming many leaders for MCHG; Stephanie Scott, Gordon Clark, Jenn Libby, Dayna Riley, Chris Chaffee and the entire existing Freeport Inn Management Team. Sean Riley was trained by Gail as well.
At her 20th Anniversary Celebration, Sean mentioned not only that he is still afraid of her, but also the way she cared for so many. Gail bakes a cake or cookies for every birthday and make homemade candy for every holiday.
She bakes for funerals and donates to every cause that comes through her door. When there was a Perfect Attendance Award, Gail won it 2 years in a row. (Never missing a shift as Night Audit is quite helpful to the then FOM, Sean Riley!)
At her celebration, Gail was presented with a special clock with an engraved message, a digital photo album and a cake of her favorite animal, the giraffe. These gifts were very personalized based on her life at the Freeport Inn. All in attendance at the celebration were full of hugs and kisses for this remarkable lady.
Gail, Thanks for your service to the Freeport Inn!

| Community Corner | | Wayside Soup Kitchen - Portland April 16, 2008 During the regular monthly visit to the Wayside Soup Kitchen, MCHG volunteers brought some goodies along.
The soup kitchen always runs out of cups and silverware. So MCHG came to the rescue. They had also wanted colored cutting boards for sanitary purposes. Done!
For the past six months, the MCHG Corporate Office has been collecting cans and bottles for this donation in mind. Adding that money to a few private donations made this possible. Thanks to the Corporate Team and many other volunteers who go each month. The MCHG Connection at work!
Great job! |
