Easter Buffet

I had the pleasure of watching the Muddy Rudder team in Yarmouth create a beautiful buffet for Easter. I Watched Dale and Tom in the kitchen. Rozz and Jerry really know how to make the place look spectacular.



What I was most impressed with was watching everyone interact with the guests. (all I could do was meet and greet and get out of Jerry's way) Our associates were giving up their holiday to serve our guests. I guess in the hospitality business, it is a part of life. But watching these folks made me realize how lucky we are. Last Easter I saw the same thing at the Brewer Muddy Rudder and the Cafe on Mothers day. Every hotel associate works on holidays, often including Christmas. When I talk to each hotel Christmas Day, I do not hear sadness or whining, I hear people who are enjoying what they do and making an effort to make others happy during the holidays.



I have a deeper understanding of True Hospitality after seeing our teams in action on holidays. I want to thank each and every associate for all they do not just on holidays, but every day.

Best of the Best

What a site! I drove into the Econolodge in Augusta and saw it hanging there. The Gold Award Banner. Winning the Choice hotels gold award means that our Econolodge is one of the best in the country. You might say; "Ya but...." Not me. This means that the team at this hotel has risen to the top in their brand.

I recently sat in the lobby and watched guests as they came in. They are pleasantly surprised by what they find. Breakfast is far superior to other similar hotels. More importantly I hear Chris, Susan, and Virginia calling out to guests by their names.

As the old Ad used to say... "This is not your fathers Oldsmobile." Folks, this is not your typical Econolodge. http://www.augustaeconolodge.com/
